After a strong earthquake shock Morocco on Friday night more than 1000 people died. People were forced to escape their houses as the fatal earthquake slammed Morocco’s High Atlas range, demolishing buildings.
The Ighil area of the High Atlas was affected by an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.8 around 11:11 pm, according to the US Geological Survey. According to reports, more than 300 people have been hurt, and hospitals in Marrakesh have experienced a “massive influx” of patients. The epicenter of the earthquake was 18 km beneath the surface of the Earth, making it a shallow earthquake. Because shallow earthquakes have more energy, they are typically thought to be more destructive.
